Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s), the first league with women’s and men’s teams competing under one umbrella with equal pay, will host the 2023 PR7s Championship on Sunday, Aug. 6, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET. Audi Field will welcome some of the top global male and female players who will compete in single elimination 8-match championship tournament for a nationally televised audience.
The 2023 PR7s Championship tournament is the culmination of a season-long competition with eight franchises and 16 teams, who competed in a total of 32 regular season games since June. Half of the teams from the Western Conference and half from the Eastern Conference earned a spot to compete at Audi Field on Aug. 6.

Starting at 6:30 p.m. ET, fans can watch the two 3rd place matches and the two finals live on FS1 in North America and live via the PR7s Facebook page internationally.
The last men’s team standing will take home the A. Jon Prusmack Cup, and the women’s winner will earn the Kathy Flores Cup, honoring two major pioneers in American rugby. PR7s will also award the 2023 United Champion, which has been clinched by the Rocky Mountain Experts, who became the only PR7s franchise to have their men’s team and women’s team qualify for the Championship in DC, based on their results from the 2023 regular season.
The party-like atmosphere will include a one-hour intermission at 5:30 p.m. ET and feature a performance by internationally acclaimed musician Paul Russell. His sample from his unreleased single “Boo Thang” is currently the #3 audio in the world as of July. His single “Ms. Poli Sci” also reached the top 25 on Spotify in June.
