Upfront Inc. presents the Oasis in the Sun Tour featuring Pablo Cruise and Jim Messina at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland, Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM.
Tickets go on sale to Weinberg Center members at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 15 and to the public Tuesday, June 20 at 10:00 AM. Tickets start at $47 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street.
Pablo Cruise, active from 1975 to 1985, gained fame for their infectious pop-rock sound. The band achieved significant success with top 10 hits like “Whatcha Gonna Do?” and “Love Will Find A Way,” along with several other top 20 hits. They sold millions of albums and singles, and their reputation as talented writers and performers grew within the music industry.
Jim Messina is a highly accomplished musician and founding member of the influential band Buffalo Springfield, known for their contributions to the creation of Country Rock. With a career spanning nearly five decades, Messina has also achieved success as one half of the popular duo Loggins & Messina in the 1970s. He has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Buffalo Springfield. Messina continues to tour and share the stories and songs that made Buffalo Springfield and Loggins & Messina iconic American groups.
