We find out who erased Jane’s memories and gave her the tattoos, the team finds out who killed Patterson’s (ex) boyfriend, someone makes a shocking exit, and Jane and Weller share a moment…

So Jane came up with the plan to tattoo herself and wipe her own memory. Somehow, I am not surprised. Watching that I thought of the different shows or movies where the protagonist was involved in when something like this happened to them. Two examples I can think of right offhand were HRG in Heroes Reborn and Sydney in Alias, and I know there are more if I took the time to think about it. I was honestly hoping for something a little more original. But that still leaves us with the question about how on earth she and whatever group she is working with knew about the different crimes that were tattooed on her body.

Carter is dead. I have to admit that that really shocked me. I was expecting him to last at least through the end of the season. He was being set up as the Big Bad for the season, but I guess they decided that they really needed him more to get things started and kick off the story about why Jane had her own memory wiped. I can’t even pretend that I am sorry he’s gone. Between the way he tortured Jane tonight and everything he has done to Zapata and Mayfair, he deserved to be taken out. Bubbye Carter!

I cannot say that I am surprised that Patterson wanted to work after her boyfriend was killed. While she may not have had the clearest mind, there wouldn’t be a person who would work harder to make sure that the killer was captured. Of course, finding the killer wouldn’t make her feel better, only time can really do much about that. I was glad that she went to Jane afterwards. It just reinforces Jane’s being a part of the team.

That being said, I have to wonder how Jane finding out that she was the one behind the tattoos and amnesia will affect her place on the team. Somehow, I don’t think she’ll want to share this information. Well, not until she figures out more about what it means at any rate. The problem with that is that you know the team will find out at the worst possible time and in the worst possible way, which will cause problems for everyone involved.

How will that kiss affect Weller and Jane? Lord knows they’ve been dancing around each other for a while now, so that kiss was more or less inevitable. If only his nephew hadn’t committed the act of kissus interruptus.

What on earth is Project Orion that Jane remembered Carter talking about? She seriously shook him up when she mentioned it, so it must be something serious. I wonder if Mayfair knows anything about it or if it is another skeleton in Carter’s crowded closet.

Blindspot comes back in February, so I’ll see you then!
