Pop-punk group Meet Me @ The Altar brought their highly anticipated tour to the Baltimore Soundstage on Wednesday night. The band kicked off the Worried Sick Tour in Tampa last week. Inclement weather across the East Coast led to the postponement of the following two shows, with Baltimore being their first show following the storm. Despite the frigid conditions, they drew a large crowd to the Baltimore Soundstage to see them perform with Pollyanna. Meet Me @ The Altar is promoting their latest EP, “Worried Sick” on the tour of the same name. They released “Worried Sick” this past fall and released the deluxe version this week.

Baltimore was buried under nearly 10 inches of snow from this past weekend’s snowstorm, but the snow and ice didn’t keep the crowd from showing out for the rockers. The crowd cheered and jumped along to every song, matching the high energy of the bands onstage.

Pollyanna kicked things off with an electrifying set. The quartet hails from New Jersey and blends elements of rock, metal, and pop-punk to create a sound uniquely their own. Pollyanna released their third studio album, “Weirdo,” in late 2025. The frontwoman, Jill Beckett engaged the crowd throughout the set, at one moment inviting the crowd to share the pettiest thing they’ve ever done before playing the appropriately-named track, “Petty”.

Meet Me @ The Altar amped up the electricity with their set, jumping right into the music as soon as they stepped onstage. Frontwoman Edith Victoria was impossible to miss with her neon hair and nails. Her energy was infectious as she jumped and ran across the stage, while maintaining her powerhouse vocals.

The group formed in 2015 as a trio and had viral success in 2020 and subsequently signed with Fueled By Ramen. Last year, founding member Téa Campbell exited the group, and the duo signed with LAB Records. With their distinctive sound and bright visuals, Meet Me @ The Altar has carved out a space for themselves in a genre that has historically carried a culture where female singers and artists of color have struggled to be accepted. The group has challenged this culture through their lyrics on songs like “Hit Like A Girl” and through their shows, where they have amassed a crowd of all ages and backgrounds.

Amid a tense political climate and several recent protests, the show marked an escape for many in Baltimore. Both acts reaffirmed their support for the community. In their opening set, Pollyanna expressed support for immigrants and drew cheers from the crowd by shouting, “Keep ICE out of Baltimore”. Meet Me @ The Altar echoed these statements and thanked the crowd for their continued support.

Meet Me @ The Altar put on a wildly colorful and energetic show at the Baltimore Soundstage. The band will tour 11 states up and down the East Coast on the Worried Sick Tour. The tour was slated to run through February, but some snow dates will keep them on the road through March. Pollyanna will continue as the opener for all remaining tour dates.

Final grade: A+
