On Friday, April 8, 2022, the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) hosts its annual black-tie gala, made possible by Dior. Join gala co-chairs Ashley Davis and Marlene Malek and NMWA patrons for a special night at the museum’s largest annual fundraising event, which supports NMWA’s special exhibitions, and diverse education and public programming initiatives. The event will feature a seated dinner and entertainment. Luminaries from Washington’s diplomatic, governmental and social communities are expected to attend. This year’s gala will honor Dior’s first woman creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, feminist artist Judy Chicago and businesswoman and philanthropist Mellody Hobson each with NMWA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This will be the first gala held since 2019. NMWA looks forward to continuing this much-loved tradition of gathering each spring in celebration of the museum’s important work and honoring groundbreaking women in arts.
