RENITA CLARKE – NYC Chief / Photojournalist
I’ve been passionate about photography since 1993, when I tinkered with an old Kodak box camera that I came upon. After a period of shooting, exploring and self-learning, I turned what was once a hobby, into career.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to shoot portraits and live events.
Some of my jobs have led to covering such prestigious events such as the Sundance Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival and concerts at the Rams Head Group venues. I’ve been exposed to work with such high profile clients such as; Pepsi, YouTube and BET (Black Entertainment Television).
When I photograph a subject, my goal is to always capture the moment that evokes some sort of feeling or emotion. I want the person or the audience to come away with a complete experience. This makes the end product worthwhile.
With the launch of the new exclusive skateboard line, I’ll be able to combine two of my favorite things. The skateboard decks will feature some never before seen images I’ve taken throughout the years. I’m excited about the future and looking forward to the next image creation experience.
