Strathmore announces four new additions to its 2026–2027 season, expanding its Music Center lineup with acclaimed artists and performances spanning jazz, film music, global traditions and improvisation. Strathmore members can purchase tickets beginning Wednesday Aug. 19 at 10 a.m., with public on-sale beginning Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. via strathmore.org or by calling 301.581.5100.
The latest concerts added to the 2026–2027 season at the Music Center include:
Strathmore Jazz Orchestra featuring Anat Cohen and Camille Thurman (Saturday, Feb. 27, 2027): Under the direction of Daniel Jamieson, two of today’s dynamic jazz artists bring dazzling improvisation, soulful vocals and infectious swing to the Strathmore Jazz Orchestra.
Gustavo Santaolalla: Ronroco Tour (Thursday, April 15, 2027): Two-time Academy Award-winning composer, producer and musician brings his multi-instrumental band to perform music from his celebrated film, television and video game scores, including The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Maya and the Three and The Last of Us.
Béla Fleck, Edmar Castañeda, Antonio Sánchez Trio (Sunday, May 16, 2027): Banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck joins harpist Edmar Castañeda and drummer Antonio Sánchez for a genre-crossing performance blending jazz, bluegrass, world music and improvisation.
The Orchestral Qawwali Project with Washington National Opera Orchestra (Friday, June 25 & Saturday, June 26, 2027): Presented by Strathmore and District of Raga as part of the Windows Series, the global phenomenon The Orchestral Qawwali Project joins the Washington National Opera Orchestra for a U.S. premiere blending Western classical traditions with centuries-old Sufi music.
