Republic Records, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) and Paramount Television have announced the release of the GREASE: LIVE Official Soundtrack Album. The album will be available digitally on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 7:00 PM ET/PT, to coincide with the start of the three-hour live event on FOX. A special pre-order launches today and will include the option to download Jessie J’s “Grease (Is the Word)” written by Barry Gibb at time of purchase. In addition to the digital release, Target will have the exclusive CD package with four bonus tracks released on Friday, March 4.

The GREASE: LIVE Official Soundtrack Album features the show’s cast performing classics from the original stage musical, written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, and the 1978 Paramount film, plus two original tracks written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and DNCE and an original track written and performed by DNCE. Also among the high-profile performers are Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, Carlos PenaVega, Keke Palmer, Kether Donohue, Jordan Fisher, Andrew Call, David Del Rio, Boyz II Men and more!
Grammy Award®-nominated pop superstar Jessie J kicks off the event with her rendition of the iconic theme song “Grease (Is the Word)” written by Barry Gibb. This young vanguard breathes new life into “Grease” for the 21st century, transferring the magic of the show to today’s generation. The live event also features special cameo appearances by the band DNCE as Johnny Casino and the Gamblers, and Grammy Award®-winning R&B group Boyz II Men as Teen Angel, singing “Beauty School Dropout.”
