On June 18, Apple TV+’s hit drama “The Buccaneers” will return alongside the second installment of its all-star soundtrack. Released via Interscope Records in partnership with Apple TV+ and executive-produced by Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, The Buccaneers: S2 (Apple TV+ Original Series Soundtrack) will feature new music from globally adored singer/songwriters like Suki Waterhouse, Madi Diaz, Holly Humberstone, and more. A gorgeous first glimpse at The Buccaneers: S2 (Apple TV+ Original Series Soundtrack), “Little Secret” brings Empress Of’s enthralling vocals and elegant production work to the forefront. With its stark yet potent backdrop of moody beats and snarling guitar riffs, the strangely infectious track takes on an ominous intensity as she sets her sights on her object of desire (“I’m a good girl/I can be sweet/But you bring out the devil/I’m flashing my teeth/Close your eyes/Count to three/Baby, you’re my pawn/And I can be your queen”). Co-written by Empress Of and Mozgawa, “Little Secret” follows her critically acclaimed fourth album For Your Consideration — a 2024 LP awarded Pitchfork’s Best New Music.
With its featured artists also including folk-americana singer/songwriter Kacy Hill, indie-folk singer/songwriter Jade Bird, and up-and-comers like BEKA and Jana Diab, The Buccaneers: S2 (Apple TV+ Original Series Soundtrack) opens on Paris-bred DJ/producer Chloé Caillet’s remix of the show’s main title song — a cover of LCD Soundsystem’s iconic “North American Scum,” performed by Warpaint’s Emily Kokal and featuring Miya Folick. Emily will also be returning with two new original songs “What Would We Do” and “2U.” In addition, the soundtrack’s second disc includes six pieces from the show’s atmospheric score, composed and performed by London-based duo AVAWAVES. The eight-episode second season of “The Buccaneers” will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with one episode on June 18, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through August 6, 2025. The show’s complete first season is now streaming on Apple TV+.
