MidAtlantic Improv has presented multiple hilarious performances at New Spire Arts over the last several years. Most notably, Bah Humbug: A Christmas Carol (Mostly) Improvised. This summer, they offer something a bit more dangerous, but just as hilarious: comedic, criminal, improvised murder. Law & Order: SIU was created and developed by Michael Harris and the brilliant performers of MidAtlantic Improv. The show is a fully improvised take on America’s longest running police procedural.
Rather than headlines, this Frederick-focused version of Law & Order will be ripped from the suggestions of the audience, creating a never-before-seen, never-to-be-repeated comedic murder investigation. Every aspect of the Law & Order formula is used—from the discovery of the victim (played by an audience member) to attorneys playing on the ethical edge, and a final verdict decided by the audience. Improv meets audience participation in a familiar-yet-everchanging adaptation of one of the most popular television series to date.
