 The Capital Pride Alliance (CPA) and WorldPride, in collaboration with DC’s Business Improvement Districts, are excited to announce the Taste of Pride 2025 kickoff celebration, an evening filled with culinary delights honoring LGBTQ+ owned and allied restaurants in the DMV region. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a wide variety of flavors, with tasting stations featuring curated foods and signature cocktails that showcase the best of culinary artistry from some of the program’s participating restaurants.

Featured restaurants include:

  • Certo!

  • Hook Hall

  • Shaw’s Tavern

  • Truluck’s

  • Yala Greek Ice Cream

  • *Additional restaurants will be announced in the coming days

The event will also highlight the vibrant cultural diversity of the region, blending food with performances, interactive programming, inspiring words from leaders in the food and hospitality industries, and exciting WorldPride updates. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment and dynamic global music, for a celebration of food, culture, and community — where the DMV’s best flavors come together in honor of Pride, progress, and the spirit of inclusivity. The program will be led by NBC Washington anchor Jummy Olabanji and will formally launch the multi-month Taste of Pride program set to kick off in February and run through WorldPride festivities in June. Full details about the program, participating area restaurants, and ways to get involved, will be announced during the program. WorldPride is proud to partner with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), Destination DC, and the Mayor’s Offices on LGBTQ Affairs and Nightlife and Culture.

Washington, DC, will mark the 50th anniversary of the city’s Capital Pride celebrations concurrently with WorldPride, May 23 – June 8, 2025. WorldPride will feature a vibrant and innovative slate of programming and cultural events to inspire, connect, and empower the LGBTQ+ community, highlighting the diversity and inclusivity of the U.S. capital city and  everything it has to offer.

TICKETS:

Tickets are $50 – $100 each and are currently on sale here. This event is 21+ only. All tickets include culinary delights from tasting stations and cocktails. Proceeds from each ticket include a donation to the Pride365 Fund for WorldPride 2025, which supports Capital Pride initiatives and benefits local LGBTQ+ organizations and the New DC LGBTQ Center.
