Sharon Needles is ready to emerge from her black hole and slip into her Halston space suit with the second single, “Flamin’ Hot” HERE & video HERE release from her forthcoming album, Absolute Zero which is available for pre-order today HERE
About ”Flamin’ Hot,” Sharon shares – “Some say disco is dead. Researching disco, I have found that some of my favorite rock n roll bands had a hand in this disturbing funeral of my favorite soul, funk, disco, and R n B bands. “Flamin’ Hot” was written because I was hung over, and I saw my musicians eating flaming hot Cheetos. I hate food but I love music. I’m famously known for saying unsavory things, but I want to be more famous for making disco songs about savory snacks. Though many people may find a resemblance to Madonna’s Hung Up, it’s really based off of trans French icon Amanda Lear. She likes Blood and Honey, I like Blood/Honey.”
The new album, Absolute Zero , Sharon’s first new music in over 3 years due July 22 via PEG Records/Warner Music Group/ADA was produced by certified platinum selling songwriter/producer Tomas Costanza/Killingsworth. Absolute Zero features seven brand new disco-laden and Studio 54, Euro-Disco inspired tracks including a re-imagined cover of 70’s Rock Gods Blue Oyster Cult classic, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper.”
