The Frederick Speaker Series welcomes Soledad O’Brien, award-winning journalist, entrepreneur, anchor & executive producer of the weekly syndicated political show Matter of Fact, to the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets start at $45 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors. There is as ticketed Meet & Greet with O’Brien following the event with proceeds benefiting children’s programming at Frederick County Public Libraries.

O’Brien founded Soledad O’Brien Productions, a multi-platform media production company dedicated to telling empowering and authentic stories on a range of social issues. She anchors and produces the Hearst TV political magazine program Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien and is a correspondent for HBO Real Sports. O’Brien also co-hosts the nationally syndicated radio show and podcast, Everyday Wealth, that explores important financial decisions and how they affect our lives.

Known as a provocative, credible and smart interviewer throughout her career, Soledad has been dedicated to telling empowering and authentic stories on a range of social issues and is a thought leader whose public engagement garners wide attention with over 1.3 million Twitter followers. She has a national impact through her speeches, numerous documentaries and her presence on the op-ed pages of platforms like the New York Times and Huffington Post.
