Four-time Grammy-winning soprano sings classic works by Schumann, Strauss, and Rachmaninoff and recent songs by Patricia Barber in recital with Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalist Olga Kern

2013 National Medal of Arts recipient and world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming makes her eagerly anticipated return to fellow 2013 Medal recipient Washington Performing Arts and the Kennedy Center Concert Hall on February 23 at 8pm. Always popular with D.C. audiences, Ms. Fleming performs works from Schumann, Strauss, Rachmaninoff, and Patricia Barber as part of Washington Performing Arts 2014-15 season Stars Series, appearing with internationally acclaimed pianist Olga Kern—Fleming’s first time touring with a concert pianist. Said the Washington Post of Fleming’s most recent Washington Performing Arts recital, “The beautiful voice soared, swelled and glistened … [Renée Fleming] brought her A-game, and everyone was happy.”
