In addition, a new film series, sponsored by Wonder Book & Video will launch on November 3rdThe Cinema Club Film Series will feature classic films, some with a literary tie-in, and include discussions on the films. Wonder Book owner, Chuck Roberts had the idea of a film series that would span the time frame between the silent era films that are part of the Weinberg’s Silent Film Series and the more contemporary offerings of the Flying Dog Film Series, which shows movies from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Much like a book club, there will be discussions of the movies prior to the screenings.

Tenth Ward Distilling will sponsor happy hours prior to the films, offering tastings of Tenth Ward liquors and creating themed cocktails for each movie that will be available for purchase at the bar. Owner, Monica Pearce said “Tenth Ward is always thrilled to get involved in the community in any way we can. We are looking forward to participating in this new partnership and hope to offer an exciting new experience to the Weinberg Center’s guests.”
